Self-Publishing Meets Crowdfunding
Hoboken author launches web campaign to take her novel from e-book to print.

Former Hoboken resident and journalist Amanda Palasciano (Hoboken Reporter, Life in Hoboken, HMag magazine) is seeking to print her self-published novel, Mascara, in a unique way… crowdfunding.
Palasciano, who was recently featured on CCTV New York, has raised over $2,300 as part of a GoFundMe campaign to take her novel from digital to print format.
Palasciano stated in a release that she hopes the novel helps to address many teen issues, especially those involving image.

“I grew up with Sweet Valley Twins as my Bible, and I know the influence it can have on a teenage girl,” Palasciano stated.
Palasciano was recently featured on CCTV New York, where she discussed crowdfunding and self-publishing.
