Shake Shack Confirms It Will Open New Location In Jersey City, Gives Details

The Jersey City Shake Shack "will feature a Shack Track Walk Up Window," the company said, and gave an estimate of when it will open.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — The Shake Shack company confirmed on Tuesday that Jersey City will soon get its own Shack, the second in Hudson County. The address will be 318 Grove St.

Hoboken already has a location of the popular hamburger and shake restaurant on lower Washington Street.

Last week, the Historic Downtown Special Improvement District in Jersey City announced that a Shake Shack was coming to the area of the Grove Street PATH station.

On Instagram, they said: "We’re getting Shake Shack! Right across from the Grove Path Plaza. We are so excited for all of the new, diverse restaurants opening in Historic Downtown this summer."

A spokeswoman for the Shack said Tuesday, "I can confirm that we will be opening a Jersey City location. It will feature a Shack Track Walk Up Window which gives guests the ability to pre-order via the Shack app and pick up their food by way of walk-up window on the exterior of the Shack.

"Shack Track is Shake Shack’s digital pre-ordering and fulfillment experience. The Shack is scheduled to open in late 2022/early 2023."

A rumor from last year about Newport Mall getting a Shack has proved unfounded thusfar. JerseyDigs had spied the store on a map, but it's since been removed. In its place is the new Boom Fryers, a Korean fried chicken store.

Shake Shack said this week that it will also open a location at the Menlo Park Mall in Edison in December.
