Stevens Institute In Hoboken: No Evening Classes; Storm Predicted

Stevens Institute in Hoboken canceled evening classes on Thursday due to predictions of a snow/rain storm.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Evening classes were canceled at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken on Thursday, Nov. 15 due to a prediction of a snow and rain storm in the area.

Forecasters are predicting the possibility of several inches of snow/rain and 55-mph winds for New Jersey, which may create the potential for power outages and hazardous roads. (Read more about the forecast here)

Stevens Institute administrators issued the following advisory at 1:08 p.m. on Thursday:

"Due to the weather, all classes that begin at 4:30 p.m. or later today are canceled. Administrative offices will close at 5 p.m. The library, all dining outlets and the Schaefer Athletics Center will operate as normal, with the exception of Red & Gray Cafe, which will close at 5 p.m. Shuttles will operate on the usual schedule, but be aware that weather conditions may cause slight delays. The Emergency Management Team will continue to monitor conditions. Further updates will be communicated via Stevens email, text alerts, and the Stevens website."
