Teen With Firearm Charged In Purse-Snatching In Hoboken

A teen was theft after snatching a woman's purse in Hoboken on Tuesday, police said. A weapon was found on him.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A teen was charged with theft and weapons possession after he "committed a purse snatching in the area of Second and Grand Street" in Hoboken on Tuesday, police said.

The police responded to the area Tuesday afternoon and were able to stop the teen shortly after the incident, they said.

The police found both the woman's purse and a firearm in the teen's possession. Police said the weapon was not used in the purse-snatching.
