Thomson Reuters Sponsors Day Of Volunteering In Hoboken
Thomson Reuters partnered with three non-profits in the Hoboken community for a day of volunteering.
Hoboken, NJ – What do the Hoboken Fire Department Museum, the All Saints Episcopal Day School and the Hoboken Shelter have in common?
They’ve all worked with volunteers from Hoboken-based Thomson Reuters.
On April 21, Thomson Reuters partnered with three non-profits in the Hoboken community for a day of volunteering to “celebrate the importance and enjoyment of community involvement.”

According to a company news release, the event included readings of children’s books at the Hoboken Fire Department Museum with a number of students from the All Saints Episcopal Day School, and a dinner prepared by Thomson Reuters employees at the Hoboken Shelter that evening.
While at the HFD Museum, kindergarten and 1st grade students from All Saints participated in a scavenger hunt and listened to a kids’ story telling session involving books such as “Fireboat: The Heroic Adventures of the John J. Henry” and “Even Firefighters Hug Their Moms.”

In addition to the children’s event, Thomson Reuters employees also prepared and served dinner for 100 people at the Hoboken Shelter. All groceries were purchased by Thomson Reuters from the ShopRite in Hoboken, which also donated a large sheet cake and a $100 gift card.
