Trump: Apologize For Saying I Lied About N.J. Muslims Cheering 9-11
Trump said he's owed apology, saying he definitely heard thousands - many presumably Muslims -cheer in N.J. after WTC buildings fell.

Donald Trump won’t let it go.
The billionaire presidential candidate and real estate mogul demanded an apology from those who doubted his story that thousands of people - many presumably Muslims - cheered when the Twin Towers were struck on Sept. 11, 2001.
On Twitter, he notes a passage in a 2001 Washington Post article that makes reference to “tailgate-style parties” and people being detained because they were cheering.

Trump was apparently referring to a Jersey City crowd that included Muslims when he made the remarks, telling a crowd on the campaign traIl this past weekend that “thousands of people were cheering, so something is going on.”

“I want surveillance of these people. I want surveillance if we have to and I don’t care,” he said during the event.
Trump’s numbers have surged a bit since the terrorist attacks in France that the terror group ISIS has taken responsibility for. Trump has burnished his anti-terror credentials by telling crowds that the U.S. should “bomb the s---t” out of ISIS.
A number of people - including Chris Christie - said they don’t remember any cheering in Jersey City. Some have accused Trump of out-and-out fabricating the story, while Christie merely said he doesn’t remember it.
Here is the video of his speech:
