On her LinkedIn page, Patton says she obtained a juris doctorate degree in 2000 from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Connecticut. Then she wrote "N/A" next to the J.D.

Patton also says she served as vice president of The Eric Trump Foundation, where she "works in tandem with the executive director/president of the foundation to identify & develop viable partnerships and research projects for ETF in conjunction with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. "

A Forbes report, meanwhile, has alleged that the Eric Trump Foundation has been funneling donations from donors who believed the money was going to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to the Trump Organization.
Patton, whose new position would involve overseeing distribution of billions of taxpayer dollars toward housing programs, took to Twitter to strike back at critics who view her appointment as political patronage.

She also responded to the Forbes report, calling it "irresponsible."
"One of the greatest honors of my life was to work for — and onetime helm — The Eric Trump Foundation. After making the painstakingly selfless decision to temporarily suspend his namesake charity for the duration of his father's Presidency in order to fully eliminate any/all perceived conflicts, the fact that Eric Trump must continue to address such reckless & unsubstantiated claims is truly heartbreaking," she said.
In her new role, Patton will reportedly oversee the distribution of billions of dollars to public housing authorities, as well as rental vouchers and block grants that fund housing inspections and senior citizen programs.
In 2009 Patton began serving as the Trump family’s “event planner,” according to The Daily News report. Her LinkedIn profile says she was responsible for organizing, executing and assisting with "upscale events" and celebrity golf tournaments, and that she handled celebrity talent acquisition for various marketing projects, philanthropic events and golf tournaments.
She also has been a strong advocate for Trump and his family, often taking to social media to defend the family.
