National Weather Service issues warning; Friday morning commute expected to be a mess.
Hazardous travel conditions are expected for Friday morning into Sunday, and the wintry precipitation and leftover ice is expected to continue to have a “significant impact” on morning commutes, according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS is predicting a late winter snowfall of two to four inches for the Essex and Hudson County area, starting with the Friday morning commute. Barring snowfall, freezing rain is expected.
Temperatures are expected to warm up on Sunday .

What’s expected for Hoboken:
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 41. Wind chill values between 20 and 30. Northwest wind around 10 mph.
Thursday Night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 29. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Friday: Snow, mainly after 9am. High near 36. Wind chill values between 25 and 30. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Friday Night: Rain and snow likely, becoming all snow after 9pm. Cloudy, with a low around 28. North wind 7 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 45. North wind around 7 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.
Saturday Night: A slight chance of rain showers before midnight, then a slight chance of snow showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 29. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 42.
Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 26.
