Video Shows Bright Meteor 'Fireball' Streaking In NJ Sky

What the heck was that?

A video shows a white fireball streaking across the New Jersey sky on Wednesday– coming from just one of a bunch of eyewitnesses in the region who saw unearthly thing.

The American Meteor Society said it received more than 190 reports about a "bright fireball" seen above the Northeast area on Wednesday.

NASA says meteors brighter than the planet Venus are typically called "fireballs."

The fireball was seen around 6:35 a.m. The American Meteor Society said it received reports from New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
