Which PATH Stations Will Be Closed This Weekend?

Recent Hoboken and World Trade Center closures had folks wondering. So far, the most recent PATH alert is a joke about the Ninja Turtles.

HOBOKEN, NJ — After PATH stations in Hoboken and Jersey City were closed over two weekends in January, commuters have wondered each weekend whether the stations will be open. However, most weekends, it's only the World Trade Center PATH that is closed for Superstorm Sandy repairs. Updates on weekend closures can be found here, and current alerts can be found here.

As for the coming weekend, according to the PATH weekend closure website, the World Trade Center PATH station will be closed again. There were no mentions of the other stations as of Friday morning.

However, there was a humorous recent alert about a green glow in Jersey City's Newport station, which the Port Authority said is "Harmless tracing dye." The poster said there was "No need to call April O'Neil" and included a photo of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The station will close at 12:01 a.m. on Saturdays, reopening at 5 a.m. on Mondays.

"During this time, PATH service to World Trade Center will terminate at Exchange Place Station. Each Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., transfer will be available for NY Waterway ferry service between Harborside Ferry Landing in Jersey City and Brookfield Place Terminal in New York City. Service on the JSQ-33 via HOB line will follow a regular weekend schedule."
