Whiz Kids is a weekly feature in which Patch profiles an outstanding youngster or youth group. This week's Whiz Kid is Millie Novak, who is awesome because she's already a performing superstar.

School: Stevens Cooperative School, 6th grade
Just 11 years old, Millie Novak is already an accomplished and award-winning performer. She sings, acts, dances and also plays the piano and violin.

She's been doing all of those musical things since she was very young, but says she probably likes dancing the most.
“I've been doing it the longest,” she says.
Recently she was on a hip-hop style dance team that took first place in a statewide competition sponsored by NJN public television.
“It was exciting,” she said about the award.
She also tap dances, and the solo she performed at the Dance Educators of America competition earned her a platinum rating and a second-place overall finish.
Millie regularly sings in cabaret showcases in New York City, and has even gotten to perform a piano recital at Carnegie Hall.
“That was cool,” she says about playing at Carnegie.
While in school Millie says her favorite subjects are science and gym. She's played soccer and practiced gymnastics. She also likes to write.
“I like to make up stories,” she says.
When she wants to relax Millie says she watches movies and snacks on candy. She also likes to play video games, notably Just Dance on Nintendo's Wii.
Though Millie is young and still has plenty of time to decide, she says she wants to continue singing, dancing and acting as an adult.
“I want to be famous,” she says.
