Her favorite types of music are pop and country, and her favorite acts are Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga.
She dances too, and is also starting to learn how to play musical instruments.
“I catch on fast with the piano,” she says.
Lily just started third grade at the HoLa Dual Language Charter School. She likes that the classes are taught in both English and Spanish.
“You get to learn two languages,” she says.
Lily's favorite subjects are math, science and art. She also enjoys lunch and recess.
Last year Lily and her friend Olivia joined their classmates in drawing comic books that they copied and later sold to friends and family. They took the money they earned and donated it to school kids who suffered during the recent earthquake in Japan.
The comic Lily drew with Olivia is called Picture Walk and features colorful drawings of stick figures, fish, fairies, spiders, robots and rainbows. Lily wrote on the first page that, “this book is dedicated to our love of craziness and drawing.”
Lily also likes to play soccer. She plays all positions. “I like playing all over the field,” she says.
When she gets older Lily thinks she might want to be a singer, but also maybe a writer. She's definitely learning how to sing, and if she becomes a writer she's getting a good start by reading books.
“I can finish a whole Diary of a Wimpy Kid in a day,” she says.
