Win Free Chick-fil-A For A Year In Hudson County
The 1st Chick-fil-A in Jersey City will open at the Newport Centre Mall on Nov. 11.

The opening of the first Chick-fil-A restaurant in Jersey City will present a unique opportunity for local fast food connoisseurs… free grub for a year.
On Wednesday, Nov. 11, the national restaurant – famous for their “Eat Mor Chikin” ad campaign – will open its first location in Jersey City at the Newport Centre Mall.
As part of their grand opening event, the restaurant will give away “free Chick-fil-A for a year to the first 100 adults in line when the restaurant opens that morning,” according to a release.

Winners will receive a digital offer card loaded with 52 free Chick-fil-A meals, a total of more than $32,000 in free food, a release stated.
The free food promotional event will be held atop the mall’s parking deck for 12 hours before the opening. The line for the promotion will open at 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 10, with the prizes being awarded around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11, shortly before the restaurant opens at 10 a.m.

“If more than 100 people are onsite when the line officially opens, all 100 spots will be determined by a drawing held that morning with those selected needing to camp out for 12 hours to secure their spot,” a release stated.
The event is only open to guests residing in specific zip codes surrounding the restaurant. A complete listing of eligible zip codes and rules can be found online here.
According to a release, eligible adults hoping to participate may bring a chair and a blanket. No tents or guests are allowed at this location. Chick-fil-A will provide security, entertainment, games and restroom access.
The grand opening event will also feature a book drive at the new restaurant between 10 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., Nov. 9 - 12, with the books being donated to Junior Achievement of New Jersey.
