Woman, 36, Dies In Crash On Turnpike Extension In Hudson County
NJ State Police have identified the victim in a car crash on a Turnpike Extension in Jersey City as a Bayonne woman, 36.
JERSEY CITY, NJ —New Jersey State Police have identified a woman who died in a crash on a Turnpike Extension in Jersey City on Wednesday afternoon.
Sgt. Philip Curry said Yvena Louis, 36, of Bayonne was heading east on the Hudson Bay in her Nissan Quest around 12:51 p.m. but it went off the roadway and struck a tree.
"In the area of milepost 5.5, the Nissan traveled off the roadway, impacted a tree and became engulfed in fire," he said. " As a result of the crash, the driver ... sustained fatal injuries."

Police are investigating but did not have any more information to release.
