Woman Killed In Hoboken By Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Train After Thanksgiving: NJ Transit
A woman was struck and killed by a Hudson-Bergen Light Rail train in Hoboken just after Thanksgiving, said an NJ Transit spokesperson.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A woman was struck and killed by a Hudson-Bergen Light Rail train traveling south through Hoboken early on Friday morning, an NJ Transit spokesperson confirmed.
The train struck the woman near Hoboken's 9th Street Station around 1:12 a.m. on Nov. 24, a little over an hour after the end of Thanksgiving Day.
The train had originated at Tonnelle Avenue in North Bergen and was to terminate at West Side Avenue in Jersey City at 1:39 a.m., said Senior Public Information Officer Kyalo Mulumba. It was the next to last train of the evening.

There were no injuries reported to the approximately four customers on board or to the operator, Mulumba said.
The riders were transferred to another vehicle, Mulumba said.

NJ Transit Police are leading the investigation.
The agency declined to give out the woman's name, age, or place of residence, pending notification of next of kin.
