Jersey City Woman Spat On Officers Responding To Bird-Feeding Dispute, Hoboken Cops Say
The police responded to a dispute over feeding the birds near Hoboken City Hall and charged a Jersey City woman with assault.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — The Hoboken police charged a Jersey City woman with aggravated assault, weapons possession, and throwing bodily fluids after they responded to a dispute near Hoboken City Hall over feeding the birds, police say.
Police say that Tara Montefusco, 45, of Jersey City spat on them whey responded at 11 a.m. to 94 Washington St. to respond to a fight over feeding birds. They said that Montefusco had an open warrant. She was arrested "for her actions during the dispute and also spitting on one of the officers," police said.
She was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, police said.

Vega, 35, of Jersey City and Amir Wilson, 32 of Jersey City were arrested on Sunday around 8:30 p.m. for trespassing. Police say that while police were within a Hoboken Housing Authority building, they saw the two men in the stairwell of the building. Police found out that both had outstanding warrants, they say.
Wilson was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and tampering with evidence, police say.

Both men were taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
Also, Rainah Yasmin Stevens, 25, of Hoboken was arrested on Tuesday around 6 a.m. for "threats made to CVS employees," police say. They say she was charged with simple assault and then obstruction when she refused to comply with police. She was released after the arrest process.
