Yale, Williams, Rutgers On List Of Hoboken High School College Acceptances
Hoboken High School released a list on Monday of college acceptances for their seniors, including schools with very competitive admissions.
HOBOKEN, NJ — College admissions across the country has become even more competitive than before, but Hoboken High School seniors have made the grade. The district announced a long list of college acceptances on social media on Monday evening.
"Exciting News for Hoboken High School Class of 2024 and Hoboken Public School District Community!" said the post. "We are thrilled to announce the list of college acceptances for our incredible seniors! Each acceptance represents years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. We couldn't be prouder of our students and their achievements!Congratulations to all of our seniors on this amazing milestone! Your futures are bright, and we can't wait to see where your journeys take you. Here's to the next chapter!"
The colleges on the list include Bard College, Boston University, McGill, the University of Michigan, NYU, Oberlin, Tufts, Williams, Yale, and dozens more.

In the years after COVID shut down on-campus learning at many universities, they began reporting record numbers of applications and lower acceptance rates.

The Yale Daily News reported in March that the school received a record 57,465 applicants for the class of 2028, and accepted the lowest percentage ever, 3.7 percent. That represents 2,146 accepted. Another 773 are on the wait list.
Not all who were accepted will go; the freshman class had around 1,500 matriculants in previous years.
Williams College, in Massachusetts, received a record 15,411 applications and accepted 7.5 percent, said their student paper, the Record.
