Here’s how Hoboken police described both incidents:
- “On Monday, February 5, an officer responded to 200 Jackson Street regarding a female who reported that her buttocks was slapped and punched by an unknown male. The victim informed the officer that she was looking down at her cell phone when all of a sudden she felt someone striking her buttocks. She initially thought that she was hit jokingly by her boyfriend or an acquaintance until she observed the unknown male striking her. The victim explained that the attack lasted approximately 20 seconds and the unknown male landed approximately 10 punches/smacks to her buttocks. After the attack, the male was last seen running southbound on Jackson Street. The victim provided the officers with a description of the male.”
- “On Tuesday, February 13, an officer responded to 254 8th Street on a report concerning a second female victim who was also touched in the buttocks. According to the victim, she was walking eastbound on 8th Street from Clinton Street, when she realized someone was following her. She was playing a game of her cell phone when the unknown male grabbed her buttocks. She immediately entered a restaurant for her personal safety and the male fled the area westbound on 8th Street.
