2 Burglaries, 1 Attempt in Holmdel Last Week
All the break-ins occurred Aug. 4. The suspects cut the electric to a home on Lakeview Drive and then tried to force open a back door.

Holmdel, NJ - The Holmdel Police are investigating two burglaries, and a third attempted burglary, all of which occurred on the evening of Thursday, August 4, police said.
In the first incident, the subjects forced open a rear door of a home on Dora Lane, and stole several pieces of jewelry from the master bedroom. That break-in happened sometime between 6:45 a.m. on Thursday and 2 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 5, police said. The same evening, Thursday Aug. 4, a subject cut the electric to a home on Lakeview Drive by damaging the electric meter. They then tried to force open a rear sliding glass door. The noise alerted the homeowner, who called police, turned on his outside lights and yelled. The actors fled before the police arrived.
The third burglary occurred on Woodhollow Drive, where entry was forced through a locked rear door.

If anyone saw any suspicious activity in either area, contact the Holmdel Detective Bureau. As always, please be diligent in locking your doors, using your alarm systems, and keeping your vehicles locked, even when in your driveway, police said.
