Holmdel police were called again to a local school, after a “phone call of a possible threat,’’ according to the school district.

According to Tweets from the Homdel School District:

There was a call about a possible threat at Village School.

Police checked the building and declared it safe.

No further action was deemed necessary, and all activities have resumed at the school.

Holmdel schools have repeatedly been the target of swatting - the act of making a false report in an effort to provoke a large-scale police response.

Princeton school have also faced similar problems.

Crime Stoppers of Monmouth County is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of anyone involved in recent swatting cases.
