Amid Superintendent Resignation, Holmdel BOE Hires New Consultant

Dr. LeRoy Seitz was recently hired as an education consultant for the Holmdel Board of Education.

HOLMDEL, NJ – A new hire was named at a Wednesday Holmdel Board of Education meeting. The school district unanimously voted Dr. LeRoy E. Seitz as an education consultant for Holmdel Township Public Schools.

Previously serving as Superintendent of Schools for Parsippany-Troy Hills School District and Hudson Regional High School District, as well as Interim Superintendent for Pequannock School District and Franklin Township, the incoming consultant comes with over 30 years of experience in public education.

Seitz was also an adjunct professor at the College of St. Elizabeth from 2007 to 2012. He holds a Doctorate in Education Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Education in Educational Administration from Lehigh University.

The consultant joins the district not long after Superintendent Dr. Robert McGarry resigned from his position on May 29. McGarry leaves the district for a position at the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Public School District as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Technology. His resignation is effective August 26 of this year.
