Development & Safety Enhancements Planned At Robert Wilson Park

HOLMDEL, NJ — Township engineers unveiled the next phase of development and safety enhancements for Robert Wilson Park during a recent township committee meeting.

Located on Holmdel Road, the township’s plans for revitalizing the park aim to prioritize the protection of Holmdel’s historical landmarks and the safety of visitors, officials said.

Plans for development and safety enhancements were presented by Township Engineers Fran Mullan and Bob Yuro at the Township Committee’s Tuesday night meeting.

Upcoming work on the park will focus on three primary objectives, according to the township website:

• Building Demolition: To clear the way for park improvements, several outdated structures will be safely removed from the site.
• Historic Preservation: New security fencing will be installed around the Horn Antenna to safeguard this National Historic Landmark from potential vandalism.
• Public Safety: Structural fencing will be placed along the perimeter of the park's steep cliffside to ensure the safety of all residents and hikers.
