Obituary: Barbara Finch

Barbara P. Finch was the co-proprietor of Lawlor Travel Agency of Rumson & Fair Haven for over 40 years, retiring in 1992.

She was a member of the Women's Republican Club of Manhattan; member of the PEO of Monmouth County; 1st woman member of the Triangle Club of Princeton, member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, graduate of the Princeton Country Day School, Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, Pa. and Finishing School in Manhattan.

She was a member of All Saints Memorial Episcopal Church, Navesink.

Born in New York City, she lived in Manhattan, Cherry Tree Farm in Princeton, and the Monmouth Hills section of Middletown before moving to Holmdel in 2008.

Her husband, David Shrady Finch, died in 2007. She is also predeceased by her parents, Karl D. Pettit and Estelle Fitch Pettit; two brothers, Karl & Samuel Pettit; and a sister, Anne Bittle.

Relatives & friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 at Posten's Funeral Home, 59 E. Lincoln Ave. at Central Ave., Atlantic Highlands.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 at All Saints Memorial Episcopal Church, 202 Navesink Avenue, Atlantic Highlands, NJ.

Interment services are private.
