Brookdale to Offer Free "Academic Boot Camps"
Residents age 50 and above are invited to take advantage of Brookdale Community College's free "Plus 50 Academic Boot Camp" program.

Residents age 50 and above are invited to an information session for Brookdale Community College’s free “Plus 50 Academic Boot Camp” program at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, on the college’s Lincroft campus.
The free, four-hour “boot camp” program is designed for adults who are considering going back to school, earning a college degree, completing a professional training program or earning a credential in health care or social services.
The program, offered in both Neptune and Lincroft, covers topics such as computer literacy, test taking, time management and “how to survive college in the 21st century.”

Comprehensive guidance is also offered to those interested in enrolling in a Brookdale degree program or career training course.
“Boot camp” programs will be offered at Brookdale’s Neptune Higher Education Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 14 and 28.

Programs will be offered on the college’s Lincroft campus from 6 to 9 p.m. on Aug. 3 and 11. Additional programs will be offered through October. Pre-registration is required.

The “boot camp” is a part of Brookdale’s Encore Plus 50 program, which is funded by a grant from the American Association of Community Colleges.
