Car Fire On Red Hill Road In Holmdel

Holmdel police released these photos of a car that caught fire at 6:40 a.m. Thursday on Red Hill Road.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Holmdel police released these photos of a car that caught fire Thursday morning on Red Hill Road. The car fire happened at 6:40 a.m. today.

Police said the driver got out in time and escaped uninjured. Holmdel police and Fire & Rescue Co. #2 responded and put out the fire. No other cars were involved. "This was not an accident. The person was just driving, saw smoke coming from their engine and got out of the car," said Holmdel Police Lt. Rob Philhower.
