Course Simulates Drunk Driving at Raritan High School
Students drove golf carts Wednesday while wearing goggles to restrict their vision, to mimic drunk driving.

Hazlet, NJ - On Wednesday, seniors at Raritan High School took part in a Sudden Impact Program, where they drove golf carts around a coned-off course while wearing goggles to restrict their vision.
The goggles mimicked the effects of alcohol on their vision, and the program was intentionally offered during the height of prom season: Raritan's junior prom was May 13, and senior prom will be Friday, June 10. The police and school district want students to learn just how dangerous drunk driving can be.
