HOLMDEL, NJ - The five-member Holmdel Township Committee is set to discuss the adoption of the Monmouth County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan, the renewal of a contract to open and close Holmdel Swim Club pools and the purchase of salt brine for township roads at its next meeting on Feb. 23, according to municipal documents.

Here are the highlights of the agenda:

  • The committee is seeking to adopt Monmouth County’s Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. According to meeting documents, the plan was submitted in June 2020 by the Monmouth County Office of Emergency Management to the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. It was approved by both agencies in August 2020, and has since been adopted as an official plan of the county. Yearly updates and minor revisions recommended by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and/or the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management will be required.
  • The committee is set to renew a contract for the opening and closing of Holmdel Swim Club swimming pools: “It has been determined that it is in the best interest of Holmdel Township to renew the contract for the one-year option with Aquatic Service Inc. in the amount of $10,837.50 as proposed in the original bid proposal for a renewal term,” the resolution reads.
  • The committee is also set to authorize emergency purchases to Atlantic Salt, Britton Industries, Don Waldron, Inc., TFB Trucking and Northrock Industries, LLC for the “necessary purchase of salt for the Township roadways, in an amount not to exceed $105,863.70,” according to the latest agenda.
  • Holmdel resident Nicholas R. Tucillo is poised be approved as a township firefighter.
