Story Pirates is holding a creative writing workshop, for four consecutive Saturdays beginning April 28 and continuing through May 19.
According to a press release from Story Pirates, the group's mission is to help kids unleash their imaginations and discover the fun that can come from writing. The four-week series of writing workshops culminate in a musical sketch comedy show in which students' stories are performed by professional artists.
The group has been featured on "The Daily Show" and "Larry King Live." The workshop will be held at the Duncan Smith Theater, 36 Crawfords Corner Road in Holmdel. Classes will be held 10 a.m.-11 a.m.
The workshop is for kids in grades 5-11. The cost is $25.
