The New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation invites you to join a discussion with journalist Charles Wiley on the news and media coverage of the Vietnam War at the Vietnam Era Museum & Educational Center. Wiley covered the Vietnam War in the early and mid-1960s and early 1970s. He logged five combat missions with the Vietnamese Air Force into besieged Hue and returned to the U.S. to cover numerous college teach-ins.
"The Home Front during the War in Vietnam" will provide an analysis of the news media coverage during the Vietnam War and the actual picture. Wiley will discuss his coverage of the Easter offensive and experience returning to Vietnam since the conflict. Wiley will also speak on his one-on-one interviews with General Westmoreland, Presidents Diem and Thieu, Marshal Key, and other top figures. He will also talk about his coverage of the numerous college teach-ins during continuous travel in the United States during the height of the War.
