Fake Cash Passed In Holmdel and Hazlet, Cops Say
Holmdel police charged two people with forgery and theft. Hazlet police also filed charges against one of those defendants.

Holmdel police arrested two New Jersey residents after they say fake cash was passed at two area supermarkets.
One defendant, from Essex County, is facing charges in both Holmdel and Hazlet, while the other defendant, from Middlesex County, was charged in Holmdel.
Police said they also charged two other Essex County residents with marijuana possession as part of the investigation.

Jaques J. Fils-Aime, 22, of Cleveland Street, Orange, Danely Cadeau, 22, of Birchwood Court, North Brunswick, Dyshear Hicks, 18, of White Street, Orange, and Rickardo A. Francis, 18, of North Center Street, Orange were taken into custody Saturday night.
They were arrested at the Holmdel Town Center on Route 35 by Patrolmen Thomas Foley and Joseph Van Pelt.

According to a news release from Holmdel Lt. Michael Pigott:
Around 8:10 p.m. a worker at the A&P called police to report that a customer had just passed a counterfeit $100 bill at the supermarket.
Foley and Van Pelt found the customer in the store parking lot.
Police determined that a fake $100 bill was passed at the A&P, and after further investigation, police determined Fils-Aime had committed the same offense at the ShopRite in Hazlet.
Fils-Aime was charged with forgery and theft by deception in both Holmdel and Hazlet, and with possession of marijuana in Holmdel.
Cadeau was charged with forgery and theft by deception.
Francis was charged with possession of marijuana.
Hicks was charged with possession of marijuana and hindering his own apprehension.
Hicks, Cadeau, and Fils-Aime were transported to the Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township in lieu of bail. Bail for Fils-Aime and Cadeau was set at $10,000 each. Bail for Hicks was set at $1,000.
Francis was released on a summons.
