Hazlet Board of Education Swears In New Members

The Hazlet Board of Education is complete after elections at its reorganization meeting

The Hazlet Township Public School District swore in four Board of Education members at its reorganization meeting on Monday, Jan. 5.

William J. Kolibas, Jr. and Joseph Lamb, Jr. were both re-elected to their positions and Victor J. Iannello, Jr. and Giuseppe “Joe” Pruscino were newly elected, according to Hazlet Township Public Schools.

School business administrator and board secretary Christopher Mullins administered the Oath of Office to Lamb, Jr., Iannello, Jr. and Pruscino. Middletown councilman Anthony P. Fiore administered the Oath of Office to Kolibas, Jr.

Kolibas, Jr. was unanimously re-elected to the position of President of the Hazlet Township Board of Education and Lauri O’Leary was unanimously re-elected as vice president, the school district said.

Iannello, Jr., Kolibas, Jr. and Lamb, Jr. were elected to full three-year terms, which will expire on Dec. 31, 2017, and Pruscino was elected to a two-year term, set to expire on Dec. 31, 2016.

The election of the four completes the Hazlet Township Board of Education, joining Francis J. McGrath, O’Leary, Natale Iannello, Carol A. Gaffney and Thomas Herman, the school district said.
