Hazlet Woman Arrested In Monmouth Heroin Bust, 2nd Time Since May
Lakehurst police apprehended the woman after finding suspected heroin, a crack pipe and additional drug paraphernalia in a vehicle.
HAZLET, NJ - A Hazlet woman was arrested last week amid a seizure of suspected heroin from a vehicle in Lakehurst, authorities said.
Beatrice Rein, 54, of Hazlet, and Paul Rein, 54, of Keansburg, were stopped by Lakehurst police on June 16 at around 9:44 p.m. when officers observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle “in plain sight.”
Upon a search of the vehicle, driver and passenger, the male was found to be in possession of suspected heroin while the female was found to be in possession of a crack pipe. Additional drug paraphernalia was also located throughout the vehicle. Both were arrested without incident, authorities said.

Paul Rein was charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as issued motor vehicle summonses for Maintenance of Lamps, No front license plate, Expired Inspection, Failure to Maintain Lane, Expired Drivers License, Suspended Drivers License, Failure to Possess Driver License, Failure to Possess Registration, Failure to Possess Insurance Card and Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle.
Beatrice Rein was charged with Possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were released with summons pending a court appearance.

Beatrice Rein was separately arrested May 31 while she was sleeping in a vehicle outside the Lakehurst Dollar General. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of around 36 wax folds of suspected heroin, multiple methadone pills, and drug paraphernalia.
Rein was charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released after being processed and remanded to the Ocean County Jail.
