Holmdel, NJ - Who better to teach young Holmdel girls how to play lacrosse?
Members of the varsity Holmdel Hornets women's lacrosse team!
For the past four years, for six Sundays each spring, members of the Holmdel High School girls' lacrosse team have been volunteering their time to serve as coaches and mentors for younger girls. They teach the younger girls — in kindergarten through second grade — the fundamentals of the game, and help the girls develop a love for the sport at a young age. The six-week clinic just wrapped up, and the younger girls competed against each other at the end with their new-found skills.

"I am very proud of my team for their service," said Regan Teti, head coach of the Holmdel women's lacrosse team for the past five years. "It has become an incredible community event, and their work has translated into girls staying involved with lacrosse as they grow."
Teti is also the commissioner of the girls' youth lacrosse program in Holmdel.
