Holmdel Man Among The Rutgers Army ROTC Cadets To Be Commissioned As Second Lieutenants

An Army ROTC cadet from Holmdel is among the 27 expected to be commissioned as second lieutenants during a ceremony at Rutgers University.

The Rutgers Army ROTC 2015 officer commissioning ceremony will be held Tuesday at Kirkpatrick Chapel in New Brunswick, according to a news release from Rutgers.

The ceremony is sponsored by the Department of Military Science, Scarlet Knight Battalion.

The keynote speaker is Retired Brig. Gen. Bruce B. Bingham, U.S. Army.

Samer Fawal of Holmdel, is one of half a dozen Jersey Shore cadets who will be commissioned as second lieutenants.

The others are:
