Holmdel Police Arrest 3 in DWI Checkpoint

Drivers were either caught intoxicated or with drugs, police say.

Holmdel, NJ - As a result of their DWI checkpoint Friday night on Rt. 35, Holmdel police arrested three people who were either caught with illegal drugs, were driving while intoxicated — or both, they said.

A 24-year-old man from Belford was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. A 52-year-old Hazlet woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and multiple motor vehicle offenses. And a 27-year-old Holmdel man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and multiple motor vehicle offenses. All were processed and released.

The DWI checkpoint was on Rt. 35 at Centerville Road. Patch will notify you of more upcoming DWI checkpoints in the area as we learn about them.
