Holmdel Police, Fire and Military Members Read to Kids at the Village School
Holmdel police, firefighters, emergency services personnel and members of the military read to kids Thursday morning at the Village School.

HOLMDEL, NJ - The Holmdel Township Police Department, along with other “heroes” serving the community, took part in the Village School’s annual Read Across America program. Police officers, firefighters, emergency services personnel and members of the military met Thursday morning at the Village School and had the pleasure of reading their favorite children’s book to the students.
Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2, the birthday of beloved children's author Dr. Seuss.
The police officers who volunteered had a wonderful morning with the students and fully support the goal of motivating students to read and instill in the students a life-long love of reading!
