“It is a privilege and honor to be selected as the president of NJMMA,” said Vieiro. “Our organization represents a diverse cross-section of individuals who epitomize dedication to public service.

“While each of us faces challenges specific to our municipalities, we all endeavor to provide residents with the highest level of service in the most efficient and fiscally responsible manner possible within the mandates and economic constraints that continue to be imposed.”

This year our executive board will continue to work with legislators and various agencies on challenges such as pension reform, health insurance and other issues that are pertinent to our membership and our municipalities.

Established in the early 1950s, NJMMA is dedicated to advancing the professionalism, training, and development of public managers, and facilitating the exchange of ideas and best practices in municipal management. The organization has been instrumental in shaping legislation and policies that affect services to residents and businesses throughout New Jersey.
