Holmdel Woman ID’d As Victim Killed By Train In Red Bank
Officials identified Holmdel resident Helen Yang as the person fatally struck by an NJ Transit train in Red Bank on Saturday.

HOLMDEL, NJ - Officials have identified the woman who was fatally struck by an NJ Transit train in Red Bank on Saturday morning.
Authorities identified Holmdel resident Helen Yang, 35, as the deceased this week, according to a representative from the transit authority. She was hit at approximately 8:10 a.m. by a Penn Station-bound train near the Red Bank station.

There were 37 passengers and crew members on board at the time of the incident. No injuries on board were reported.
Rail service on the North Jersey Coast Line was suspended in both directions between Red Bank and Middletown until around noon on Oct. 17. Bus service was provided until rail service was restored.
