Holmdel/Hazlet Power Outages Expected
No power outages as of 1 p.m., but they are expected this afternoon and evening, Hazlet OEM says.
Hazlet, NJ - You have been warned. The Holmdel/Hazlet area has so far been spared from the 7,000 people currently without power in Monmouth County as of 1 p.m. Saturday.
But power outages will likely happen in Holmdel/Hazlet Saturday afternoon and evening, Hazlet OEM officials said. Charge your phones, computers and other devices now; find flashlights and extra batteries now, and have blankets ready.
The closest power outage as of 1 p.m. is up to 20 customers currently out in Matawan, according to Jersey Central Power & Light. Heavy snow and high winds have brought down wires.
