Howell Residents Can 'Adopt-A-Family' This Holiday Season

HOWELL, NJ - This year, Howell is asking residents and businesses to consider adopting a local family in need as part of the new “Adopt-A-Family” initiative.

Participating households will be assigned to sponsor an “adopted” family in Howell, assisting families with children (ranging from toddlers to 17-year-olds) to give them a brighter holiday.

“These are tough times and with the challenges of our local and national economy, more families are in need of our generosity,” the township wrote in a municipal alert. "To help us in accomplishing this goal, several local businesses, neighborhoods, residents and non-profit organizations and groups will be involved in this effort. However, we still need your support.”

To sign up and sponsor a Howell family, locals can call (732) 938-4500 ext. 2102. Residents can also help by purchasing gift certificates to establishments such as Walmart, Target, Five Below, Kohl’s, Applebee’s. Visa gift cards are also accepted.

Dec. 3: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Dec. 4: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
