Large Amount of Marijuana Found in Union Beach Home, Police Say

Neighbors' complaints led to a search warrant and the arrest of a man who police say was selling marijuana out of his home.

UNION BEACH, NJ - A three-month investigation and neighbors' complaints led to a Union Beach man being arrested this week who police say was selling marijuana out of his home.

Jose Hernandez, of 642 Jersey Avenue in Union Beach, was arrested after a search warrant was executed at his home. This is following a three-month investigation between the Union Beach Police Dept. and Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

Police said they seized a large quantity of marijuana from his home and Hernandez was charged with possession of marijuana over 50 grams, as well distribution charges. Police said the investigation stemmed from numerous complaints in the neighborhood of suspected drug traffic activity.
