Man Arrested In Holmdel Home Invasion

Arrest made after suspicious white Mercedes was seen driving on Fox Hunt Road.

One man was arrested and another man is still wanted in connection with a home break-in on Fox Hunt Road in Holmdel on Friday. Both men are also tied to a home burglary in Tinton Falls, Holmdel police said.

A resident called the Holmdel Police Department at 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6 to report a “suspicious” white Mercedes seen driving in the area near Fox Hunt Road, according to Holmdel police.

Officers responded and located the Mercedes and driver. During the course of the investigation, police found proceeds inside the car from a burglary recently committed in Tinton Falls. Police also learned that a home on Fox Hunt Road had just been broken into and items were taken.

The driver of the vehicle, Justin Brown, a Cliffwood Beach resident, was immediately arrested and charged with burglary. A second man was involved with the burglary, say police, and he has been identified as Dwayne Melvin, also of Cliffwood Beach. Holmdel Police issued warrants for his arrest.
