Meeting This Week On Holmdel's Laurel Ave. Bridge
An emergency meeting will be held with NJ Transit, Holmdel police, Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso and Monmouth County engineers this week.

HOLMDEL, NJ — After a truck — for the third time this year — drove into the Laurel Avenue bridge in Holmdel on Friday, local Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso arranged for a meeting this week to address what has clearly become a serious issue in Holmdel.
DiMaso (R-NJ13) called for a meeting of all stakeholders after the Holmdel police department sent a letter to NJ Transit voicing their concerns about the bridge. This is third time in 2018, and at least the fourth time in the past two years, that a truck drove into the low bridge, which has a clearance of 12 feet, five inches.
Holmdel Mayor Tom Critelli and Monmouth County Engineer Joe Ettore will be at the meeting, as well, and DiMaso said she invited someone from the state DOT.
