8 Injured In Multi-Vehicle Parkway Crash In Holmdel
Breaking: Eight people total were injured in a six-car accident Friday afternoon on the Parkway in Holmdel.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Eight people total were injured in a devastating six-car accident Friday afternoon on the Garden State Parkway in Holmdel. At least six cars were reportedly involved, one of them possibly being a State Police sedan.
The crash happened around 12:54 p.m., closing the Garden State Parkway local lanes northbound north of Exit 116, according to state transportation officials. The crash happened at the exchange for the PNC Arts Center in Holmdel. All lanes on the northbound side were blocked.
Holmdel EMS responded right away: Three of the most seriously injured were taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center; three were taken to Bayshore Medical Center and two were taken to Riverview.

Video by CBS New York showed several SUVs, mini vans and sedans crashed into guard rails and on the shoulder of the outer lanes near the arts center, reportedly totalling at least six vehicles. At least six ambulances responded to the crash after a State Police sedan appeared to have rear-ended a blue minivan, according to NJ101.5.
The State Police confirmed the accident happened at milepost 117.3, and that traffic was diverted to the express lanes a half mile south of crash.
