New D.A.R.E. Officer at Local Elementary Schools

Patrolman Robert Harriott is teaching fifth graders how to resist drugs and prevent bullying.

Union Beach, NJ - There's a new D.A.R.E. officer at Union Beach elementary schools: Patrolman Robert Harriott, or Officer Bob as the kids call him, is teaching fifth graders how to resist drugs and prevent bullying.

Harriott recently took over the program from Sgt. Tim Kelly, who had been teaching D.A.R.E. in Union Beach schools for nearly the past 30 years. Officer Bob just started teaching his first four 5th-grade classes two months ago. Here is the new D.A.R.E. curriculum Officer Bob teaches kids:

All students receive a formal D.A.R.E. graduation after completing the course.
