The Hazlet Republican County Committee has two weeks to submit three candidates to the Township Committee for consideration to fill Clark's unexpired term, which expires in 2024. The four Township Committee members will then choose Clark's replacement over the course of one month.
The candidate will then have to run in the November election to keep the seat.
