Hazlet Township Info Now Available on Smartphones
The new easy-to-use mobile interface was developed by a company with guidance from Hazlet officials.

Following the successful launch of a modern and newsy Facebook Page for residents, Hazet Township is now offering access to municipal services through smartphones, tablets and the iPad.
"There is nothing to download," said Construction Official Dennis Pino, who has been working closely with township officials and a company called enfoTech on developing what is believed to be the first mobile web interface for a New Jersey municipality. Users can navigate to the Hazlet Mobile App from the Township webpage.
"This is a mobile interface. The iPhone and iPad app will be released shortly," said Pino.

Hazlet citizens can click on a colorful graphic interface to access departmental information like addresses and phone numbers with extensions, holiday closing dates, and the days the governing body meets through the GovOnline content management system. There are photos and biographies of the elected officials.
In the Citizen Request area, a person can text an anonymous message and hit "submit."

Pino said building inspectors in the field and other Township employees will also have real-time connectivity and the ability to respond to and from the field, process applications and manage other inquiries remotely from their own mobile phones when fully enacted, said Pino.
There is no cost to use the application, but a user registration is required for some GovOnline system features and most municipal interaction.
To access the mobile app, go to the township's website at www.hazlettwp.org - click on the Hazlet Mobile link and simply add it to your favorites or book mark it in your device. The direct link is: http://www.govonline.us.com/nj/hazlet/public/mobile/.
