November 5th VOTE for YOUR Town first

Please stay with me as I try to control my disappointment, disgust and anger at the 11th hour political ploy sent out by the Holmdel Democratic (D) Municipal Chair (Democrat In Name Only ...DINO) . His recently circulated communication to Holmdel voters warrants his immediate resignation from his position as Chair of the Holmdel Municipal Democratic Committee.

On November 5th and in response to the recent opinion sent by the Holmdel Democratic (D) Municipal Chair endorsing the incumbent Republican ( R ) Mayor and his running mate
for the two open seats on Township Committee, the voters should seriously consider the following...

• As a Holmdel resident, the author certainly has a right to vote for his individual choice to serve on the Township Committee.

• As the Holmdel Municipal Democratic (D) Committee Chair, his publicly forwarded endorsement letter for of the Republican ( R ) candidates is not only inappropriate but completely disingenuous, also possibly libelous in light of the commitments he made to Chair in good faith the Democratic Municipal Committee.
• Instead of actively pursuing two Democrats to run in 2019, as his position would indicate, the (D) Chair chose this year not to run anyone in opposition to his good friend the incumbent ( R ) Mayor.
• The Holmdel Democratic Municipal Committee under his leadership of t Chairman has not had a known Democrat Municipal Committee meeting in two years. The Holmdel Democratic Municipal COMMITTEE has not endorsed the ( R ) incumbent Mayor and his running mate as the (D) Chairman arbitrarily chose to do.

The inaccuracies and misrepresentations contained within the ( D) Chair's communication with Holmdel voters should be dully recognized by the Holmdel voters prior to casting votes...

• Contrary to the (D) Chairman's claims, have your taxes really remained flat as a result of the Bell Works Redevelopment Plan? Better known as the PILOT (Payment in Lieu of Taxes for 30 years), the PILOT does not provide any school funding or equitable relief to the taxpayer for the schools’ portion of your tax bill. Instead all moneys go directly to a Township Committee pork barrel.
• Holmdel's Board of Ed must NOW go begging to the Township Committee to acquire any relief from the costs of pending expanded school enrollments, largely due to the Council on Affordable Housing (COAH) negotiated deals with the Mayor and his Township Committee partisan brotherhood. Holmdel's Board of Ed was never invited to participate nor included in the Town's negotiations with COAH.

• The other high density developments in town along with all property owners must now absorb the burden from the Bell Works 30 year tax relief for the PILOT and were never offered the same fair and equitable tax relief. * Please note that by granting Bell Works zoning relief and sewer expansions for the Redevelopment Plan this once state designated environmentally sensitive low growth area now is identified as urban contributing largely to increasing Holmdel's COAH mandated and obligated numbers for affordable housing.
• The incumbent ( R ) Mayor (endorsed by (D) Municipal Committee Chair) also attempted to work a deal to further benefit the Bell Works' developer by attempting to amend the original Redevelopment Agreement to permit an additional 195 apartment units to be built on site

• Holmdel's Triple A bond rating the (D) Chairman credits the ( R ) Mayor with is a gross misrepresentation and is explained realistically in the op/ed...patch.com/new-jersey/holmdel-hazlet/opinion-holmdels-triple-bond-rating
• Though not mentioned in the D Chairman's accolades for the ( R ) incumbent Mayor, lest we not forget the disbandment of Holmdel Fire Company number 1 and the estimated 5 years it has taken to address southern Holmdel's inadequate emergency services. NOW pre-election 2019 season a billboard appears on RTE. 35 with the incumbent ( R ) Mayor's portrait soliciting for fire/first aid volunteers. Why oh why have the safety of our homes, properties and resulting escalated insurance rates taken so long for affirmative action and results ?

Both the Weber and Santhana Independent candidates have diligently participated in Township Committee meetings and witnessed first hand the current ( R ) Mayor's actions prompting his fellow Committee members, absent full public disclosure, needless spending of the taxpayers hard earned dollars. If the (D) Municipal Committee Chair had attended any Township Committee meetings in the last two or more years he might have known his stated reasons for endorsement are inaccurate, misplaced and fabrications based only on his friendship with the ( R ) Mayor.

I suggest both the ( R ) incumbent Mayor and his (D) buddy wannabe official grow up and be publicly responsible and accountable for their own actions taken.
