
With changes to federal health care law coming in 2015, Holmdel Township is already reviewing the hours of its part-time workforce, the Asbury Park Press reports today.
Under the Affordable Care Act, also known as "Obamacare," employers are required to provide healthcare to employees who work more than 30 hours a week.
Holmdel's Township Administrator Donna Vieiro told the newspaper that she does not expect Holmdel will be impacted much, but is staying on top of the issue.
In May, Middletown Township adjusted the hours of 25 part-time municipal workers to avoid providing them insurance under the coming law, the APP reports.
