Pairing Wine for Easter and Passover

We asked Dawn Coyne of in the Holmdel Towne Center on Route 35 N to suggest something to go with Easter and Passover holiday dinner.

Here are her suggestions. The wines range from $14 to $25 each.

Easter Wines

Zonin Prosecco - Very fruity and aromatic.  An excellent aperitif, it can also  accompany dishes that are not to rich; ideal with fruit salad.  

Belle Glos Meiomi Pinot Noir - Bright cherry flavors - Perfect with lamb and ham

Allegrini Palazzo Della Torre - Pleasant, fruity, raisin-like character, constantly rated 90 points or better.  Goes will with those rich italian dishes.  

Da Vinci Chianti - Flavors of fresh strawberries and plums - perfect with your Italian pasta dishes  

Da Vinci Pinot Grigio - Ripe Apples and Tropical Fruit Flavors - A complement with your fish dishes.

Kosher Wine for Passover:

Gabriele - Kosher wines made in Italy

Pinot Grigio - Tropical fruit flavors

Moscato - Sweet white wine

Chianti - Made with the Sangiovese grape and full bodied

Montepulicano d'abruzzo - Dry red wine

Dolcemente - Made with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cesanese grapes.  Semi dry, just a touch of sweetness.

Manischewitz - Concord grape of blackberry, for the more traditional wine.
